Furman Tops Georgia Southern 16-14
In a low-scoring battle, big plays ruled the day as Furman (4-5) beat SoCon foe Georgia Southern (4-4) 16-14 on Saturday. Furman jumped ahead on the first play from scrimmage when Tanner Skogen completed a 75-yard pass to Andrej Suttles for a touchdown.

Furman Falls to Elon During Family Weekend
Furman (2-3, 1-1 SoCon) once again failed to finish a second half rally at home over family weekend, losing 28-25 to Southern Conference foe Elon (2-4, 1-1 SoCon). The Paladins stormed back from being down by 18 at the half but never managed to regain the lead. The loss dropped Furman back under .500 and marks the first time that the Paladins have lost at home this season.

Comeback Victory over Presbyterian
Furman Football rose after halftime to win its first game of the season, beating Presbyterian College 21-20. It was the first home game for the Paladins, and the result leaves both teams with 1-2 records.

Paladin’s Second Half Surge Not Enough to Top Coastal
Furman (0-2) failed to finish a late rally against Coastal Carolina (2-0), falling to their Southern Conference foe 35-28. A couple of early Paladin turnovers helped Coastal jump to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter after scoring on two of their first three possessions. Furman failed to capitalize on early opportunities, missing two field goals, including one to end the first half.
