Mike Bothwell scored a game-high 23 points and keyed a late 11-0 run to lead Furman to a 65-61 victory over Appalachian State at the Holmes Convocation Center in Boone, N.C.

Furman Men’s Basketball clashed with Penn State in the Shriner’s Children’s Classic competition. The Dins went into the final minute neck and neck but succumbed to the Big 10 powerhouse, 68-73.

The Furman Paladins showcased talent and ambition versus the North Greenville Crusaders in the season-opener, 91-55.

Furman Men’s and Women’s basketball teams took center court at the inaugural Hoops Knight on Nov. 3 at Timmons Arena. On-court promotions and competitions to win respectively official team gear and a cash prize of $10,000 enlivened the night.
