Coming off of an impressive 2018-2019 season, Ryan Adams is racing his way towards another successful 2019-2020 cross country/track and field season.

Last season, Adams earned multiple Southern Conference honors, and finished the year earning second team All-American honors in the 1,500 m at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Adams began his season with a win at the Charlotte Opener on Aug. 30 with a time of 15:02.8 and was named SoCon Runner of the Week for the first time for the week of Sept. 4-10. Adams continued his success at the Eye Opener Invitational on Sept. 14, helping to lead the Paladins to a perfect score. He was again named SoCon Runner of the Week for the following week of Sept. 11-17.

Adams also finished sixth at the Bill Dellinger Invitational on Sept. 30 with a career best 8k time of 23:36.8. He was named SoCon Runner of the Week for the third time for the week of Sept. 25 - Oct. 1. Adams concluded the month being named SoCon Runner of the Month for September, earning the title for all of his success throughout the month.

Adams most recently finished eleventh at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Classic on Oct. 18, leading the Furman men with a time of 23:50.0 in the 8k race. He looks to lead the Paladins to additional success as the Paladins travel to Tennessee for the Southern Conference Championship on Nov. 3.
