This past week the Undergraduate Evening Studies hosted an event for its juried art exhibition titled, “RESISTANCE. PERSISTENCE. TENACITY.” This marked the fifth year of the exhibition. As stated in the newsletter, “The theme exemplifies the strengths nontraditional adult students at Furman must personify daily to juggle their many responsibilities and their evening studies.” The exhibition will be open to the public up until Dec. 19, 2018, located at the Herring Center for Continuing Education. Displayed at the exhibition voices, “The nontraditional adult students at Furman University’s Undergraduate Evening Studies (UES) personify daily resistance, persistence and tenacity. Through the works of art submitted by students, graduates, staff and friends of UES, you will catch a glimpse into how they define these three related qualities.
