The mission of Sali Christeson (’07) and company co-founder Eleanor Turner is simple: they are looking to “dropkick the glass ceiling” through women’s business attire. Their vision has come to fruition through ARGENT, the duo’s clothing company which has locations in San Francisco, New York City, and Washington D.C. Founded in 2016, the brand has already caught the attention of some very well-known women – including former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
Clinton was featured in Vogue magazine wearing an original ARGENT creation while accepting the Planned Parenthood Champion of the Century award. Other wearers of the brand include political aide Huma Abedin, and actress/model Brooklyn Decker. The clothing is all manufactured in Manhattan, using “premium fabrics from Switzerland, France, Italy, and Japan”. Christeson graduated from Furman with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and holds an International Master in Business Administration from University of South Carolina Moore School of Business. Turner graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts in Fashion and Apparel Design. She has also worked for companies such as J.Crew, Tory Burch and Tommy Hilfiger.
